Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert (Approx. 477 km)

Day 2: Merzouga Desert Exploration – Nomads, Gnawa & Dunes (Approx. 60 km loop)

Wake up early the next day on the second day to an amazing and unmissable desert sunrise- one of the highlights of any Morocco Desert Trip. Then have breakfast, and go back to the village. We now spend a day exploring the region in a detailed way. We take off-road to Khamlia, a small village known as one of the most popular in a rhythmic deep Gnawa music performed by musicians whose roots can be traced back to sub-Saharan Africa. Next, we pull up to a local nomadic family in their hand-woven tent, drinking tea and hearing their stories of how they have managed to live their tough life- a real cultural experience.
We also visit ancient eyeliner mines and the Dayet Srji lake which is seasonal. Day 3: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley (Approx. 271 km)

For day 3, we leave the Sahara, and continue to the westward of the gorges, after breakfast. We make our first stop in Rissani, the ancient caravan market heart of the country- the bustling souk in Rissani really seems primeval. We then continue to drive to Tinghir, which is the entrance to the Todra Gorges. You will not tire of the halt where the sheer, massive canyon walls of the Todra Gorge come soaring above the riverbed, 300 meters, and giving one a wonderful walk down the cool riverbed. We proceed to the Valley of the Dades, which is well known by its spectacular pinnacles called Monkey Fingers. We lastly travel through the lovely Valley of Roses, where in May there is an annual rose festival, and where we will then relax in a small hotel in the Dades Gorges, where dinner and a quiet night are enjoyed.
The tremendous size of the Todra Gorges can be overwhelming; the illumination of the red rock gives the travelers a breathtaking surreal look. This day, in its unbelievable geological structures, is the best day to hinder the trip and put emphasis on the natural variety of your fes tours in Morocco.

Day 4: Dades Gorges – Ait Benhaddou – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Marrakech (Approx. 330 km)

You will take a seat and have your breakfast with picturesque views before you begin the last, memorable part of your 4 Days tour between Fes and Marrakech. The first is the road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, the Hollywood of Africa with famous movie studios. The best part of the day is no doubt the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou a spectacularly preserved fortied clay village, or Ksar. This Ksar was the location of the great movies, such as Gladiator, and TV series, such as Game of Thrones. Having examined this masterpiece of cinema, we start on our last step.
We pass through the grand High Atlas Mountains through the dramatic Tizi n Tichka Pass at an elevation of 2260 meters with impressive and sweeping views of the evolving landscape. We make stops to take pictures and have lunch and then continue to head to the Marrakech plain making your last final descent and the end of your incredible adventure.
When you pass the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, you see the light fall on the mountains in a certain manner with deep blue and purple shadows that are very compelling and primitive.
