Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca and Coastal Introduction
The 12 Days Tour of Casablanca starts with a warm welcome at Mohammed V International Airport. We jump in the car right away to go and see the gorgeous Hassan II Mosque, and one of our recent guests said that he felt as though the building was a far-off castle of spiritual prowess, being more than half over the sea.
Thereafter, you enter your hotel. We then start a leisurely evening walk through the Corniche, and assimilate the Atlantic vibe and get ready to the incredible cultural experience of your long Trip To Morocco.
Day 2: Casablanca to Chefchaouen via Rabat
We pass out of modern shore into mountain hut. We start with the trip to the capital, Rabat where we visit the spectacular tower of Hassan and the quiet Kasbah of the Udayas.
Then, we head north to the beautiful Rif Mountains to the popular blue city. I like the way the light varies as we climb up into the mountains gradually showing the first tinges of blue paint. And at last we find Chefchaouen, quite an attractive destination on your 12 Days Tour of Casablanca.
Day 3: Chefchaouen Tour
This special day stands out as one of the key benefits of the 12 Days Tour of Casablanca, as it is possible to immerse in it. As such, you spend a whole morning in the curiously-painted streets and bustling local markets.
This period is usually used by the travelers to hike to the Spanish Mosque view point, which provide some of the finest panoramic views of the blue city, which is enclosed among the mountain. It is a slow-paced way of relating to the serenity that characterizes this jewel of Trips In Morocco.
Day 4: Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes
We abandon blue mountains and go to the heart of the Moroccan culture. We then visit the great Roman ruins of Volubilis, which are under the jurisdiction of UNESCO, and are walking among the well-preserved mosaics.
Next, we visit the Imperial City of Meknes where we see the giant Bab Mansour gate. Afterwards, we drive to Fes. You lastly check into your refurbished riad, the smell of mint and orange blossom in the courtyards, and prepare to have your culture induced the next day on your 12 Days Tour of Casablanca.
Day 5: Full Day Guided Tour of Fes
Fes el-Bali presents the best medieval city experience the world. Thus, a professional local guide will lead you far into the UNESCO-listed medina.
In this we visit the oldest uninterrupted running university in the world, Al-Qarawiyyin, and bustling Chouara Tanneries. Moreover, we are taken to the Royal Palace gates where we get a panoramic view of the whole city. This sightseeing tour will ensure that you enjoy the rich history of Fes and its amazing culture of artisans.
Day 6: Fes to Merzouga Desert—The Sahara Gateway
A trip to the deep Sahara is among the most expected days of your Morocco Desert Trip. The first step is to climb into cold Middle Atlas and stop in Ifrane, nicknamed the Switzerland of Morocco, and the Cedar Forest to view the Barbary macaques.
Then the scenery becomes very different because we go down to the valley of Ziz and enjoy its green palm trees. Lastly, we reach the entrance of the dunes in Merzouga. As a matter of fact, we start the legendary camel ride into the golden sands of Erg Chebbi, where you come to your luxurious camp to eat and spend a tense night with the desert stars.
Day 7: Full Day Desert Activites and Nomadic Culture
The whole day is spent in the region and lets your 12 Days Tour from Casablanca have a desert depth. To begin with, we get up early enough and watch the amazing sunrise across the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Then, once we come back to the dunes, we go on a 4×4 tour, where we go to nomadic Berber families and enjoy mint tea and exchange stories. As a result, we go to the village of Khamlia to hear the soul-stirring Gnawa music. During this day, there is usually time to sandboard or quad bike then back to your comfy hotel in Merzouga to have another night.
Day 8: Merzouga to Dades Valley—Gorges and Kasbahs
We say goodbye to the desert and pass into a world of equally spectacular canyons. We first drive to Rissani to its traditional market which was an important centre in the ancient caravan routes.
Then we move on to the immense red volcano cliffs of the Todra Gorges, and walk in relative tranquility through the riverbed. Then we head to the close by Dades Valley, which is characterized by some special rock formations called Monkey Fingers and we finally spend the night in a guesthouse with stunning valley sceneries.
Day 9: Dades Valley to Ait Benhaddou and Marrakech
Now is the great climax by the mountain paths. We will start with the Rose Valley where we make some local rose product stops.
Next, we visit the world-renowned Ait Benhaddou Kasbah that is a UNESCO site. Recent family members informed me that their visit to the ancient mud-brick village made them believe that they were stepping onto a movie set. And then it is up to the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the top of your Two day tour of the Atlas Mountains before falling down to Marrakech where you will spend two nights.
